ORGANIC GARDENING 101
BASIC QUESTIONS
HOW OFTEN CAN I APPLY SEA-KELP 100 AND SUPERGROW PLANT NUTRITION TO GARDENS & PLANTS?
SEA-KELP 100 and SUPERGROW liquid concentrate may be applied up to 3 x per week to all indoor and outdoor plants.
For newly transplanted tomato, vegetable and herb seedlings, combine both SK / SG nutritional products in the same mixing container, and apply at the base of the plant.

TOMATOES
Once tomatoes have begun to bear fruit, feed with SEA-KELP 100 for the duration of the season and stop feeding with SUPERGROW. SUPERGROW helps the seedling establish fruiting and flowering production, while SEA-KELP 100 helps extend the production season and wards off frost and pest infestation.
LAWN AND TURF: SEA-KELP 100 and SUPERGROW liquid concentrate may be applied up to 3 x per week on all lawn and turf.
Fill garden nutrition applicator with concentrate and attach to hose end. May be used at highest strength (ratio - 4 ounces) for vigorous growth. Apply year round in warmer climates and especially effective to feed in late summer and throughout the fall for cold weather states. Wards off pests and fungus while creating a lush green lawn with no toxic chemicals.
WATERING YOUR GARDEN
The best time to water is early in the morning away from direct sunlight and in temperatures below 85 degrees F.
Watering or fertilizing in direct sunlight will "foliar burn" your plants leaves. Evening is the next best time to water and apply water directly to the roots. Foliage that stays wet overnight invites diseases and fungus to move in.
Water gardens and plants every morning and feed with a combination of SUPERGROW and SEA-KELP 100 up to 3 x a week. A good soaking is much better than daily sprinklings. Shallow watering encourages the roots to stay in the top four inches of soil and shallow roots make plants more susceptible to water stress and weed competition. Water until the soil looks "shiny" and reflective. Never water to the point where water puddles.
WHAT IS DOUBLE DIGGING?
Double Digging is the foundation of all healthy garden beds and plants, and involves digging and loosening soil by 24 inches while turning up to 50% new organic soil, humus or compost into the newly dug beds. Plants and crops need deep loose soil to grow effectively. John Jeavons, author of How to Grow More Vegetables (Ten Speed Press, revised 2002) and "guru" of the technique explains that digging adds air deep into the soil and enables roots to grow more deeply. You need microbes to create good soil structure and oxygen and water with the right organic nutrition allows your soil to rebalance the pH, attracting earthworms and other beneficials.
